•We offer all aspects of dentistry including conscious sedation, general anesthesia, blood product infusions, and the use of hospital resources.
•We can provide expedited care when the patient’s medical needs rely on rapid dental stabilization, such as transplant clearance and oncology.
•We welcome referrals from patients, medical doctors, and dentists.
•While our practice focuses on our medically complex patients, we are happy to serve all patients, including family, friends, students and health care providers.
Our Swedish Residency Program has reduced emergency room visits by 21% in the five year period since the program started. This has allowed for patients with "true dental emergencies, including life-threatening infections" to be seen in the hospital with specialists.
"When [our] Swedish program began, many patients with dental problems were cycling through the emergency department, said Amy Winston, Swedish’s medical director for hospital dentistry."
Now, modeled after the success of the Seattle Swedish Dental Residency program, Providence Health Care is launching two new dental clinics to provide a similar resolution to nearly "12,000 low income adults in Spokane County".
February is both Heart Health Month and Gum Disease Awareness Month.
Studies have, and continue to highlight the link between oral health and heart health. With V- Day around the corner, we wanted to raise awareness for both pearly whites and fluttering hearts. After all, what would Valentines day be without them?
dentistryiq.com Researchers have found that people with periodontal disease are almost twice as likely to have heart disease, and that risk may be even greater than for those with high cholesterol. We spent today at the State Capitol with the WSDA, advocating on behalf of our program and patients. Speaking with legislators allowed us to shine light on the importance of care for underserved populations in Washington State.
Our doctors are all firm advocates for mindful care of patients, not only within the walls of our office, but throughout the entire state of Washington.
For some of us, it was our first time to Olympia-- and we had a blast!

Thank you to Seattle Met Magazine for featuring us in their "Top Dentists of 2016."

We could not stop smiling when we heard that Samuel Donaldson themed the New York Times crossword for this Wednesday "The Dentist". We smiled even wider when we (finally!) solved it.
nytimes.com Samuel Donaldson makes us say “Ah.”
[12/23/16] Happy Holidays from our family to yours! Our office will be closed on Monday 12/26 and Monday 1/2. We cannot wait to see what the New Year will bring!
As providers that emphasize the necessity for there to be an equal playing field for everyone, nothing brings us more joy than seeing our patients finding and pursuing their goals.
Our hygienist Seng had the wonderful opportunity to watch his patient Eric perform at the Northshore Wranglers' holiday showcase. This organization works with the greater Seattle community to provide recreational programs for people with special needs. All their resources go right back into helping the kids out, and we could not be happier to see kids like Eric thriving.
Attached are a few pictures taken with permission from Eric's family from the recital.
As the holiday approaches, we are reminded of all that we are thankful for. To our wonderful staff, patients, and community: We could not fulfill our mission to give every patient the best care without you. Thank you for supporting us!
For those who are able, attached are a few ways to give back to the greater Seattle area. Happy Thanksgiving!!
seattletimes.com Several organizations have already reached capacity for Thanksgiving volunteers, so check before you just show and consider these other ways to give back.
